Gen X Has a Midlife Crisis – Really?

I’m used to hearing the words “I didn’t do it” pass my lips but apparently I, and the rest of my generation, didn’t do it… or much of anything according to this.
A.O. Scott from the NY Times writes a review on the recent novel by Sam Lipsyte called “The Ask” which is narrated by the character Milo Burke. Milo makes the assertion that his generation, Generation X, suffers an inadequacy of true life experience and wasted talent due to our slacker ways. I haven’t read the book (because I too am a slacker) but this sounds like a promising book so I thought I would pass it on…
