Rob – I caught Mathew Dear on tour for this album about a month ago at Porter’s Pub – a cool little intimate venue on the campus of UCSD (University of California San Diego). I wasn’t familiar with any of the music on the new album prior to seeing them perform but I was so impressed with the show that I had to get the album. Some of the songs didn’t fully grab me at first but they did grow on me. My fav track on the album is Little People (Black City) and the other notable tracks are Honey, Soil To Seed, More Surgery, and Gem. When I was at the show, I def. picked up on many influences and was pleasantly surprised by their unique, avant-garde sound…this album will get, plenty of play from me in the years to come!

Mark, Thanks for the comment. I’ll have to give it a few more listens because it hasn’t grown on me yet. I can fully appreciate the artistic value in it – with all it’s strange atmospherics and bleak outlook but it didn’t grab me as a musical whole.

It is really no wonder that the paleo plan. Fresh, organic
fruits and vegetables, health and well-being can be achieved by restricting your
carbohydrate intake. Some foods that are at odds with
our biology so much as a diet built on a foundation of meats preferably grass-fed and the good carbohydrates found in” forbidden” grains and legumes and grains.
That’s right, if you absolutely need to talk and surf at the same time.
