Time -A Meandering Rant from TSF 8

I think I suffer from the same malady many of us face today. Time. Its like a drug. There isn’t enough of it, I’ve lost track of it, is it the right time, its running out, I cant afford it, and I am wasting it. You get the point.
Now, none of this is new to most of us. Every once in a while we look in the mirror but don’t see that 18yr old that we imagine we still look like. Full of youth and vigor and lacking the lines and gray hairs we see today. But I can deal with getting older, I really don’t have a problem with it. What I do have a problem with is that I am not doing all of the things I always envisioned I would have done by now. That’s not to say I won’t, its just… I am a bit off schedule. This is my problem.
I wont bore you with the laundry list of things I thought I would have done by now, but many of them are typical… seeing Europe, sailing the Caribbean, having that corner office, stuff like that. I don’t think it’s because I’m not capable of doing these things, but haven’t had the time to really devote to getting to them. Stuff keeps happening and it’s never the right time. Read more

The new earth friendly pigs can now produce excrement without damaging the environment! Yaaay, we’re all saved by science!
…Since when the F@#$ have animals craping been BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT!!
p.s. as you might have guessed, in reality, the only environment being damaged are the confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs), which is a creepy story unto itself.
It seems to me like another finger in the dam of profit-streamlining living things AKA our food supply.
This has been an angry moment with-

iPad Envy
Posted on April 14, 2010 | By Christian | No Comments
Alright, I admit it. I have iPad envy… and its not because my iPhone is small. Well, maybe it is. Anyway, I was out the other night chilling with the family having some sushi and the table next to me of college kids had a new iPad and were showing it off. And damn! It is as cool as it looks on TV. I haven’t actually had the chance to hold one and play with it but it does look seriously cool.
One thing that can go away is the constant media attention to it. I can’t turn on the TV or radio without someone talking about iPad this or iPad that. Its everywhere! Which is probably why they have sold 500k of them already.
Does everyone who writes and article or has a blog feel compelled to write about the thing? Oh wait. Anyway, I don’t think I will be able to get a P.O. from the wife to get one anytime soon so I will have to learn to live with envy.
And my iPhone is not small.

Tic Toc – An Observation
Posted on April 7, 2010 | By Christian | 2 Comments
This is more of an observation… I had an interesting conversation over the weekend with my step father. It was his birthday and he was saying he has another 3yrs to go before he can retire. Of course, I am much further away, but it sparked my curiosity and wondered how old I would have to be. The answer is 67. That is 27 years from now. 27 years is longer than the amount of time from when I began “officially” working at 16 and today! I don’t know what to say other than… shit.
